AI Processing and Third-Party Data Sharing
Jotter uses Google Gemini (Vertex AI) to power AI features. We only send data to this third-party AI service when you explicitly enable AI features and give your permission.

- Images attached to entries
- PDF documents attached to entries
- Search queries (when using AI search)
Who receives it: Google Gemini, operated via Vertex AI (Google Cloud). Processing is subject to Google Cloud Privacy Notice, which provides the same or equal protection for your data.
Your control: AI classification is off by default when you sign in. You can enable or disable AI features at any time in Settings. We do not send your data to any AI service without your explicit permission.
- The AI determines the appropriate category, tags, and priority for your entries
- We do not use your content to train AI models
Website Analytics
Our website uses Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous usage data:
- Page views and navigation patterns
- Time spent on pages
- Device and browser information
- Geographic location (country/city level, not precise)
This data is collected anonymously and aggregated. It cannot be used to identify individual users. Analytics data is processed by Google and subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Analytics only runs if you consent via our cookie banner.
