By accessing or using Jotter, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the service.

Jotter is a note-taking application that uses artificial intelligence to classify and organize user content. The service includes:

  • Mobile applications for iOS and Android
  • Web app accessible from any browser
  • WhatsApp integration for note capture
  • Chrome Extension for browser capture
  • AI-powered content classification
  • Cloud synchronization
  • Search and organization features

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Providing accurate and complete information
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service to:

  • Store or transmit any unlawful, harmful, or offensive content
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers

5. AI Classification

Jotter uses artificial intelligence to analyze and classify your notes:

  • Your content is processed by third-party AI services (Google Gemini)
  • AI classifications are automated and may not always be accurate
  • You can manually override AI classifications
  • We do not use your content to train AI models
  • AI processing is subject to the third-party provider's terms

6. WhatsApp Integration

By using our WhatsApp integration:

  • You consent to receiving messages from our WhatsApp bot
  • Messages sent to our bot are processed and stored in your account
  • Standard messaging rates may apply
  • WhatsApp's terms of service also apply to your use

7. Payment and Refunds

Jotter is offered as a subscription:

  • Monthly and annual plans are available (pricing shown in-app or on the web)
  • Mobile subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play
  • Web subscriptions are processed through Stripe
  • Refunds are handled according to the respective billing provider's policies
  • Prices are subject to change with notice

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the content you create. By using the service:

  • You grant us a license to store and process your content
  • You agree not to reverse engineer the application
  • The Jotter name, logo, and software are our intellectual property

9. Data Backup and Loss

While we make efforts to protect your data:

  • You are responsible for maintaining backups of important data
  • We are not liable for data loss due to technical failures
  • Contact support if you need to access your data

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account:

  • For violations of these Terms of Service
  • If required by law or legal process
  • If the service is discontinued

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • AI classifications will always be accurate
  • The service will meet your specific requirements

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
